For The President's Own

In addition to being one of the greatest film composers of all time, John Williams has enjoyed a special relationship with The President’s Own U. S. Marine Band. In honor of the band’s 215th anniversary, Mr. Williams composed awork specifically for this storied ensemble. Casually described as a curtain raiser, For the President’s Own is a spirited work that offers virtuosic challenges for every section of the band and represents a stunning addition tothe repertoire for mature bands.
