Carlos Chávez was probably the most important Mexican composer of the twentieth century. Chávez’s style is not immediately apparent as Latin, certain folk elements of Aztec and Mexican are evident, with their colorful rhythms andexotic percussion. This is his Ten Preludes For Piano.
